Beautiful Day for TSOT # 397

Hi there.  This card is for the sketch challenge over at TRY STAMPIN ON TUESDAY.  Love the diagonal divide in the card. Below is the sketch...

I used the new Balmy Blue from Stampin Up and gave the card a sweet country feel. Added the Rose for the flower fun option and put that on the yummy BB gingham DSP!

Hello and welcome back if you have been here before. And welcome if this is your first time here. This card is for the color challenge at the SUNDAY STAMPS blog. The colors are beautifully bright and vibrant...

Here is my card with these beautiful colors!  I chose the Butterfly Gala set. My colors are, Daffodil Delight(DSP), Flirty Flamingo,  Sweet Sugarplum, Daper Denim & Island Indigo.  The sentiments in the set are sweetly worded and a good size. HB for FMS

Hello again! This card is for the FRESHLY MADE SKETCHES # 376 challenge.  Below is the sketch and wow where you could go with it! I played with the sketch in my head for a couple of days before I sat down and started playing with my ideas.

I used an older die for this card. It's from the Rose Wonder set. There are so many new stamp sets and trends out there, but I have quite the collection of older, still good sets to use, so I went with it. To me it's a classic, the Rose, it will never good out of style...

I gave it a little updated look by texturizing the whole panel after I was done with coloring, cutting and assembling. The colors used are, Lemon Lime Twist & Peekaboo Peach. Thanks for stopping by...

Have A Happy Day!
Melissa

THANK YOU for Try Stampin Or Not

Hello and welcome. I am posting this card for the TRY STAMPIN ON TUESDAY challenge blog. This is my first entry with them. I actually came upon them by accident when I checking out someone's blog and I'm glad I did!

Here's  the sketch:

Here is my take on the sketch:

I just love this little cactus from Stampin Up's new set called Flowering Desert.  I kept the colors soft and light. Well thanks for stopping by...

Hi There! for FMS

When I first saw the new sketch for Freshly Made Sketches I thought about this new set with the cactus I just got. I've been busy all week and trying to get to my craftroom and make the card! So I finally had a moment on Saturday afternoon and played around with it and ended up with this single layer card!
Here's the sketch :

And here is my card with this fun new cactus set from Stampin Up!

I'm looking forward to working with this set more very soon :)

Have a smiley day!

Simple Moments for SUNDAY STAMPS

Hello and welcome! SUNDAY STAMPS has a new sketch challenge on the blog and this time it's from Amy! I had made 3 other cards before I decided on this one. I had hearts and lots of layers, other elements  and themes. Then I decided  I was really over thinking the sketch.  That's  when I  decided to keep it VERY simple.  I like it and I think it works!

Be sure to stop by the other Design Team blogs and checkout how they interpreted the sketch. Thanks for stopping by...

Have a great day,
Melissa

For Freshly Made Sketches

Hi there and welcome!  This card is for FRESHLY MADE SKETCHES # 373.  It's a fun sketch you can interpret many different ways. I decided to use clouds instead of the stripes and use the background filler pieces for the hot air balloon instead of the detailed cut out. I wasn't thinking of making a Valentine theme but that's what I ended up with and I think it works!

The sketch:

The card:

I used Stampin Up's Lift Me Up stamp & die set. Colors are: Real Red, Black, Smoky Slate and White.

Thanks for stopping by and checking things out....

Hugs, Melissa
