Sweet Friend

Hello and welcome...

It's Sunday! So that means it's time for a new challenge over at SUNDAY STAMPS. This time around it's a sketch by our wonderful Annette! Check out the sketch below...

Below is my interpretation...

I decided on the Wishing You Well stamp set. My image looked better in an oval shape so that's  what I used. But it still needed something...so I used the same Old Olive color I used for the images foliage and placed it on a rectangle background. I aslo bumped it up for dimension and interest. I fussy cut the bow and added dimension with that too. I have been loving yellow gold and rose gold lately so to add a little shine, I used just a smidge of yellow gold peeking out from behind the DSP. My card is simple but I like the color combo and layout from the sketch. Good card for my stash when I want to tell one on my besties I'm thinking of them!

Please take time and stop by the other DT blogs and see their cards. We have a lot of inspiration and variety this challenge. See you in the gallery...

Bye for now,
Melissa

Color challenge at SUNDAY STAMPS

Hello again...today's card is for the new yummy color challenge over at SUNDAY STAMPS. I think I used all of them in the card I made...
Below is the sketch...
Below is my card...

I used Abstract Impressions. Kind of a late summer heading toward fall kinda thought behind it. I also used a bow...I am not really a bow person but it's so light and airy, you don't really see it in the photo.

So that is what I made with the colors. Excited to see what you come up with and checkout the DT blogs and see if they don't inspire you to join us...

Thanks for stopping by

Hope for FMS # 399

Hello and welcome...
Today's post and card are for the FRESHLY MADE SKETCHES # 399
challenge. Great sketch and I finally decided what stamp set I was
going to use for this one!

Below is the sketch...

And here is my interpretation of the sketch...

Still loving the Sailing Home set. I chose 3 elements from that set and
bumped them up on the waves embossing folder. It was a little challenging
trying to capture the waves because it's on white, but I think you can
pick up the movement on the background.

Colors used were, Night of Navy, Soft Suede & Tranquil Tide. The card size is 5 x 5.

Thanks so much for stopping by..
