Psalms 119

Hello...I wasn't expecting to post today but, I was thinking about the FreshlyMadeSketches challenge and the Honey Bee set and ended up putting something together. Below is the sketch:

I forgot I had this very pretty floral embossing folder. I think it pairs nicely with the hive. I hand typed the sentiment and added a few sequins to finish it off. Main colors are Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight.

Thanks for stopping by...

Have a great day!

Painted Seasons

Hello and Happy Sunday! SUNDAY STAMPS has a new color challenge this round and it's bright, colorful and festive. Checkout the image below:

I used Painted Seasons from SU! with matching dies. This set is great because you can change the colors and look so easily with no coloring needed so you can make a beautiful card quickly.

Colors used are: Crushed Curry, Garden Green, Gorgeous Grape & Soft Sea Foam.
Sentiment is also from SU! called Well Said.

Thanks again for stopping by and checking out my post. I hope you will join in the challenge and upload your creation in the gallery. Be sure to stop by the other Design Team blogs and see how they used the colors. See you next time...

Happy Creating,
Melissa

Lace Floral Heart

Hello and welcome. Happy Sunday to you and I hope you had a relaxing weekend and maybe even had a chance to be creative and make something. I am entering this card for the Try Stamping on Tuesday challenge # 444 and the Retro Rubber # 128 challenge. Inspiration photos below:

RRCB 128

I picked up some new blending brushes I have been seeing on YouTube and other card makers blogs. I normally use foam blenders, but these gave a smoother transitional look. And I LOVE them! Soft and easy to use. I would definitely recommend them. I picked up an off brand because the brand I saw used were sold out. These looked very similar and seem to work the same. Below is my card:

I like how the white floral heart softly pops off the Ombre background. I did cut out the heart 3 times and glue the layers together for a more substantial look. I added color by using red touches here and there. The Heart and Flower dies co-ordinate with the Bloomin Love set that I used for the sentiments. They are from 2016 I believe and from Stamp Up!

Thanks for stopping by. Stop by again soon. I will be posting more as I play around with these great new color blending tools.

 Take care,
Melissa

Thinking of You Sweet Friend

Welcome and Happy Sunday! This card is for the new sketch challenge at SUNDAY STAMPS.
Claire is our lovely sketch designer this round and it's a fun one!

Sketch:

I picked up the new Honey Bee set because I really love the images. My name Melissa is Greek for Honey Bee and I love anything with a bees on it. I opted to use the hive as a tag look and not use a typical tag shape.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you stop by again. Please be sure check out the other cards the DT made and hope you will feel inspired to play along.

Happy crafting!

Thinking of You

Hello and welcome! Happy Saturday! I hope you're weekend is going well and you are getting things done or just relaxing. I have been busy purging and going through my craft room. I am finally getting somewhere. I need to paint the walls and brighten up the space. Before it was my craft room, it was my husbands man cave/den area. It is painted a beautiful pumpkin spice color, but I need it more neutral as well as lighter and brighter to do crafts in. So after I cleaned up and reorganized my work table, I was able to do a card for the Freshly Made Sketches current challenge. Here's the sketch:

I used the Lovely Lily set for this card. First I added a little Balmy Blue to soften the area before I added my images. I choose an open square to let the blue come through, then layered the Lily pad and Lily flowers with foam mounting tape for dimension. I couldn't find a small enough sentiment so I pulled out my old manual Royal Typewriter and made one! I originally bought it to use on cards and just never did. This year I am going to mix things up a bit. I want to explore different stamp companies I don't normally use, try some different styles and mediums and just let my own style grow and see what I create! See my card below:

I like the clean, simple way it turned out. And I really like the typeset look...

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you will stop by again and see my other posts. Have a great rest of the weekend!

Take care,
Melissa
