Thanks for stopping by to see my DT post for the new Sketch challenge over at Try A Sketch on Tuesday See the inspiration sketch below...
I started with ivory colored cardstock for a softer look. I then took a crumb cake colored ink and watered that down and smooshed the front panel of the card, while that was drying, I got busy cutting out all the die pieces to put all these images together, loooots of pieces!
I layered the Gman, candy cane and holly completed pieces similarly to the two circles like the sketch. I did keep the line, tie bow and sentiment the same as the sketch. A little secret...I forgot to tie the twine around the base before I glued to the card base...Ugh!...but I was able to place it and glue in place without it curling...phew! I placed the sentiment on it's side for a little fun and found these sweet embellishments in my stash that I had won and forgot about!
Here's a close up of the die cuts. It is a lot of work but this is one of my favorite sets from Spellbinders and to me, it's a Christmas classic I'll use for years more!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will join us for this challenge! See you in the gallery with your creation!!

How cute, love your arrangment of the gingerbread and candy cane for your fun interpretation of the sketch, and the ginger color splashed background is perfect. I did the same thing with my ribbon but was able to uplift the panel and tuck under in one card but wasn't able with a second card, so out came the glue.
