Welcome...This card is for the new sketch challenge over at Try A Sketch On Tuesday. Take a look at the sketch below...
I can see the sketch...can you?😜I did take creative liberty with the new sketch challenge form TSOT. I used warm Fall-ish colors but, it's not a Fall card. The die set is from a Spellbinders monthly kit and this big bold bloom is lovely! I tore sheets of vintage inspired paper and corrugated kraft paper and placed that horizontally. I used a fine jute string around the center to mimic the center band from the sketch. When I noticed this sketch challenge has a sentiment I had to figure how to fit one in so, bursting forth from the flower it is!
Here's a closer look at the detail of that bloom...
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you will join along with all us at TSOT and create something for our gallery...See you next time!

Such a lovely card, Melissa. The colors are fabulous and you have created a great background, too.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous - love how you used torn paper and twine to represent the lines across the sketch. Superb :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, love the color and the your creative interpretation using the background and floral to give accent to the panel and the emblishments on the floral... well done.
