Challenge #677 for TSOT

Hello and Happy Tuesday! We made it through Monday, and now it'd time for as new sketch challenge over at Try a Sketch on Tuesday. See the very FUNKY sketch below ibn the graphic...

So naturally when I see a sketch my mind will go to a particular stamp set or I will hit me how to use the sketch. This was no different LOL! I like the sketch has a, Art Deco look to it but my card has more of a home spun look to it. I took the inverted triangle cone and made that into a bouquet holder. Than I die cut lots of punch out flowers and leaves from the Spellbinders April Stitched Kit to finish my flower bouquet look.

I have been running short with Happy Birthday cards so that was my sentiment of choice! I will also enter our Sister Challenge Double Trouble.

Glad you stopped by to see my project for the new sketch challenge. I hope you get a chance to checkout the other DT members cards and projects and maybe you will feel inspired to join in with us...Bye for now...

  1. What a gorgeous card, Melissa! Great take on the sketch, too. The worn edges are a great addition, and the flowers are delightful. Can you provide the name of the flower dies? Thank you!

  4. Melissa, love the homespun feel you've given your card with that roughened edge yellow gingham panel! Using two different sizes of triangles is such a clever way to add dimension to your card. Thank you for sharing your card with us at Double Trouble! -Donna
