Hey, glad you stopped by to see my project for the the Try Stampin on Tuesday new challenge up on their blog. See below the inspiration photo and hope you will join in with us.
What I had planned for the card design and how it came out are a little different but, in the end I really like how it came out.
I originally die cut the leaves in solid green but it was just so-so. Then I thought I would do a pattern and it did add some whimsy to the card! I alternated the cardstock with a wood pattern and solid gray that I dry embossed for texture. I used a metallic gold CS for the crisscross first and add gold leaves but didn't care for the look. Then decided that I would use the Kraft like the case of the card and the look is rustic and the flowers now pop.
This is a fun sketch and I hope you will want to join in the fun with us this challenge! Be sure to check out the other DT cards for more inspiration!! I'm also going to submit to our Sister Challenge Blog Double Trouble Challenge Bye for now...

A great interpretation of the recipe and sketch. Love the gingham leaves and agree they add a touch of whimsey. Thanks for joining us at Double Trouble, Johanna DT
ReplyDeleteWow, the texture in the background and the checkered leaves and florals do make a whimsical and very pretty card. Thanks for sharing your DT card with us at Double Trouble and enhancing our 3-2-1 recipe "Keep Us in Stiches".

ReplyDeleteThe pop of teal against the neutral background but full of texture is fantastic, Melissa.
