Lace Floral Heart

Hello and welcome. Happy Sunday to you and I hope you had a relaxing weekend and maybe even had a chance to be creative and make something. I am entering this card for the Try Stamping on Tuesday challenge # 444 and the Retro Rubber # 128 challenge. Inspiration photos below:

RRCB 128

I picked up some new blending brushes I have been seeing on YouTube and other card makers blogs. I normally use foam blenders, but these gave a smoother transitional look. And I LOVE them! Soft and easy to use. I would definitely recommend them. I picked up an off brand because the brand I saw used were sold out. These looked very similar and seem to work the same. Below is my card:

I like how the white floral heart softly pops off the Ombre background. I did cut out the heart 3 times and glue the layers together for a more substantial look. I added color by using red touches here and there. The Heart and Flower dies co-ordinate with the Bloomin Love set that I used for the sentiments. They are from 2016 I believe and from Stamp Up!

Thanks for stopping by. Stop by again soon. I will be posting more as I play around with these great new color blending tools.

 Take care,
Melissa

  1. A beautiful feminine card, Melissa! Stacking the heart dies REALLY made the flowery shape stand out! I like how you gave it extra dimension by placing curled petal diecut flowers atop the main heart, too!!! Your ombre background is REALLY well done. Thank you for sharing such wonderful creativity with us at Try Stampin' on Tuesday!!! -Donna
