Here for You

Welcome! It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at SUNDAY STAMPS. This challenge features a sketch by yours truly and I hope you will join in and get squared with us! Check out the sketch below:


I'm gonna be honest with you, I struggled with this sketch! I made 2 other cards before I decided my best interpretation of the sketch was this one!


I used the DSP and stamp set from Butterfly Gala  and the sentiment is from Honey Bee. The beautiful floral embossing folder blends nicely with the DSP butterfly garden paper peeking out. I highlighted Lemon Lime Twist and Peekaboo Peach for the inset squares that the butterflies light on. I used crisp white so all the colors would pop!


I recessed the vertical strip from the sketch to add interest and kept the squares squares! I'm glad you stopped by, be sure to stop by the Design Team blogs and check out their creations they are lovely!

    Awww, fun! I love the recessed layer, and using the patterned paper as a matte layer is a great choice to offset the butterflies.

    Melissa, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this card! It is just gorgeous!!!! The embossing the recessed layer, the butterflies and the stripes and all work together to create a masterpiece!
